スキルトレーニングは、見よう見真似では意味がない？
なんのためにそのドリルをやっているのかを理解しよう！
今ではSNSがあるおかげで海外のトレーニングはすぐに見れるようになりました。有名スポーツ選手の行っているトレーニングをすぐに観ることが出来るのはとても有り難いことです。しかし、その反面、ドリルの本質を無視して形だけ真似する結果となっているのが少しもったいないと思います。
そのドリル、なんのためにやっているのか気づいていますか？
スキルトレーニングはファンダメンタル（基本）の質を上げるのが第一
NBA選手が行う見た目のカッコいいドリブルやシュートを真似することで色んな技術が身につくと思いがちです。確かに見た目では上手くできるようになるでしょう。しかし、本質を知らなければそれは試合に活かすのはとても難しく、結局試合には通用しません。
AND1 や Ballup などのストリートバスケが流行りましたよね。バスケファンなら知っている人は多いと思いますが、彼らは様々なスキルを持っています。NBA選手よりもきっとハンドリングが上手い人もいるでしょう。しかし、NBAにはいけません。それは試合で使えるスキルが足りないからです。いくらカッコいい技を沢山出来ても、その技の本質を理解して試合で発揮しなければ結局は自己満足で終わってしまうのです。

短くまとめますが、結局は本質を知らずにスキルトレーニングをしていても無駄に終わってしまうということです。海外に出たコーチたちはアメリカ人のドリルを目の当たりにしてそれを日本に持ち帰り、それを伝えるのですが形だけが伝わって本質が伝わっていません。アメリカ人はその本質がもともと身についていたりするので、指導の中ではあまり説明しません。
指導者としては決してただの見よう見真似にならないようにしたいものです。
